Greetings from the National President

Welcome to the official Website of Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, Inc. This website is designed to help you learn more about our sorority, provide information about our leadership programs, and be a resource for our sisters and visitors.

Mu Sigma Upsilon was founded on the campus of Rutgers, New Brunswick in 1981. Since our inception, Unity, Academics, and Service have been the founding cornerstones of this unique sisterhood. As the first Multicultural Greek Letter Society, we celebrate the abundance of cultures that comprise our Sorority for the last 29 years. Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, Inc. is an organization founded on the principles of integrity, respect, and accountability. The founders were five women determined to establish an organization that brought together not just women of the same background, but all women. It was their limitless vision that enabled these determined women to break down the barriers and build the bridges that connected women from all different parts of the world. Hence, our motto "Mujeres Siempre Unidas," or "Women Always United.
The Sophisticated ladies of the baby blue and white, have been in existence for over 29 years. Our organization has stretched across the nation. We are currently established in 15 states, have 45 collegiate chapters, a graduate chapter, and continue to prosper! Our sisterhood is comprised of over 900 sisters who encompass a mosaic of different race, creeds, and religions.

Our unique sisterhood attracts members who embrace an appreciation for family, individuality and collaboration with one another. Sisters are dedicated to creating strong bonds across states and regions in an effort to educate themselves and surrounding communities about events affecting women around the world. Sisters of MSU are women who not only and embody the essence of our organization, but are dedicated to the empowerment of all women across racial, ethnic and social status. Our lifelong membership is recognized as a highly-rewarding experience, imparting knowledge and wisdom throughout the encounters with one another.
